Denise is probably best known for her siren TV characters - hairdresser Denise Osbourne in Coronation Street, and Dingle heartbreaker Joanie Wright in Emmerdale. Also Denny’s mad, bad mum in Bad Girls and Hazel, the mum all gay men wanted in Russell T Davies’ Queer as Folk and Cucumber.
Denise has a passionate interest in stage and music. She has appeared in Shakespeare, Shaw, Albee, Ackbourn, Lorca and Chekhov as well as new writing. She won Manchester Evening News Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Mrs Bryant in Roots (Wesker) at the Royal Exchange.
When she can, she gigs and sails.

Denise recently appeared at the Bolton Octagon in a new play, Winter Hill and made a Corrie Comeback to retangle with Ken and Daniel. More news in the blog.
