Denise is an English actress widely recognised for her siren TV characters in Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Bad Girls. And especially for her portrayal of Hazel in Russell T Davies' iconic Channel 4 series 'Queer as Folk' (currently streaming on All4) and 'Cucumber'.

She has toured the globe in Shakespeare, Shaw, Albee, Ackbourn, Lorca and Chekhov. She's also run bands, produced plays and won awards - most recently Best Performance in a Play for The Cherry Orchard. 

She recently appeared in Terence Rattigan's "The Deep Blue Sea" at Chichester Festival Theatre, sang at Brighton Pride and was on the panel at the BFI for a Q&A and screening of Queer As Folk.
