Denise is probably best known for her siren TV characters hairdresser Denise Osbourne in Coronation Street and Dingle heart breaker Joanie in Emmerdale. Also Denny's mad, bad mum in Bad Girls and Hazel the mum all gay men wanted in Russell T Davies' Queer as Folk and Cucumber.

Denise has a passionate interest in film, music and new writing. She has toured around the globe in Shakespeare, Shaw, Albee, Ackbourn, Lorca and Chekhov. She won London Critics' Award for her performance in Street Wise and a MEN award for her portrayal of Mrs Bryant in Roots by Wesker.

Denise recently appeared at the Bolton Octagon in a new play by Timberlake Wertenbaker and made a Corrie Comeback to tangle with Ken. She has just been cast as Rainey in a delicious reimagining of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard by Gary Owens opening 13th Oct '17 at the Sherman in Cardiff.

When she can, she gigs and sails.
